Clear Aligners are transparent trays made of special material which are used to straighten teeth just like braces. They use gentle and constant force to move the teeth in the required position without going through the hassles of metal wires and brackets. They are custom-made for each patient through an Intra Oral Three-Dimensional Digital Scan. Patients can remove the trays before eating or drinking, so there is no need to restrict your diet while using clear aligners/Invisalign. This also makes brushing and flossing hassle-free. We use a scanner such as the iTero® digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then we will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile in the Intra Oral 3D scan Report.
Your custom-made aligners will be ready within 2-3 weeks. Invisalign clear aligners are made of flexible plastic — specifically, a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack created exclusively for Invisalign Treatment. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening. Wear your Invisalign clear aligners at least 21 hours a day for the best results, and take them out only to eat, brush, and have food/drink.
As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. We may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners fortnightly and schedule checkups as per the treatment plan.
